In the middle part of the order form you will find the market depth. It is built in such a way that you can toggle between NSE and BSE to see the market depth in both the exchanges. This feature enables traders to take a quick decision on the trades. Market dept can also be viewed seperately by clicking on the market dept icon of the required instrument on the market watch. Market dept is displayed as shown below
Quick Order Placement
Seasoned traders usually place their orders based on the depth available in a scrip. There is a special provision provided in market depth for such traders to place their orders quickly. You will would find red and blue arrows provided against the each depth in Bid and Ask details in an Order form as shown above.
These are short keys within the Order Form and they do the following.
A click on any of the blue arrow under Bid ladder will change the order form to a buy limit order with limit price same as the price of the bid ladder where you clicked. This way the order form is quickly pre-filled and with one click the order is sent to the exchange.
A click on any of the red arrow under Bid ladder will change the order form to a sell stop loss order with trigger price same as the price of the bid ladder where you clicked
A click on any of the blue arrow under Ask ladder will change the order form to buy Stop loss order with trigger price same as the price of the bid ladder where you clicked
A click on any of the red arrow under Ask ladder will change the order form to a sell limit order with limit price a same as the price of the bid ladder where you clicked.
Thus, you may quickly place order from the bid and ask ladder in market depth by just clicking the arrow provided against the ladder price.
The left most part of an Order Form shows a graph. This graph depicts the gap between the best bid and best ask in order to enable traders understand the impact cost available at that time and have a visual representation of it. It is risky to place market orders when the impact cost is high.
Once an order is placed you will receive a confirmation message on the top left corner of the page. Similarly, when the order is Traded a confirmation message will pop up at the top left corner. So you need not go to the order book or trade book every time to check the status of the orders placed.
By default CNC order type and limit order will be set as selected. As per the trader’s need it can be changed to MIS and market order or stop loss or stop loss market order. More order type options such as AMO and regular, Day and IOC are provided at the bottom of the order form.

Stop Loss Market: A stop loss market order is a type of stop loss order where the final order is executed at market price once the stock reaches the trigger price. While entering the stop loss market order, since the order to be traded is a market order one needs to give just the trigger price.

A trader can set the validity of the order as “Day” or “IOC”.
Day : When a trader selects “Day” his order will be open throughout the trading hours until it gets executed when the stock reaches the price he entered. Please note that unless otherwise specified, every order is a Day order
Immediate or Cancel (IOC) : As the name suggests the order either gets executed immediately after it is placed or it gets cancelled. This is a price and time based conditional order where the order gets executed if the stock trades at the price mentioned in the order at the time of placing the order or else the order gets cancelled. However, partial match of the order is possible in which case only the unmatched portion gets cancelled.
Good Till Cancelled (GTC): This type of order is available in commodity segment. GTC orders means the order placed at a price will remain in effect till the trader or investors cancels it or the order is completed or the contract has expired.
